Scuba Diving and Snorkeling:
|
Playa del Carmen is famous for its shallow reefs and cenotes which are both perfect for the experienced and the novice diver. Never scuba dived before?
Playa is a the place to learn ! Introductory courses are taught by professionally licensed instructors. You learn the basics in a pool and after you feel confident you are taken out with your instructors to explore the reef and to get a glimpse of the underwater world. Most dives, like the reefs, are relatively shallow (about 12-15 meters/40-50 feet) and are perfect for the beginner. The shallow and calm waters inside the barrier reef provides a perfect setting for snorkeling and swimming among native, tropical fish and sea life.
